Harit vikash pariyojna (hvp)This program is centered on objective to promote inclusive hvp Harit growth and sustainable development, which will be supported by an ambitious effort towards sustainability across the key engines of economic growth, namely energy, watershed management industry and tourism. The proposed operation will support urban and rural action in priority areas that are part of  environmental reform  agenda - to support Environment Education vocational training skills development computer training non formal education climate change adaptation and mitigation at the state level; to promote the environmental and social sustainability of hydropower development; to adopt a statewide integrated approach to watershed management as an instrument for rural poverty reduction; to promote environmentally sustainable industrial development by promoting cleaner sources of economic growth and by reducing the pollution of existing industrial plants; to promote environmentally sound tourism and to support the establishment of an institutional mechanism for the integration of geographic information systems in informed decision making.
